“For a band that sounds like it might follow a certain indie rock blueprint from afar, Field Mouse certainly strays from the formula on this chorus-less, lyrically dense song. Their diversion makes a bit more sense considering Episodic’s robust guest list (Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz, Allison Crutchfield of Waxahatchee and Swearin’, Joseph D’Agostino of Cymbals Eat Guitars), but even so, “Out of Context” is a distinctive swimmer in an ocean of like-minded guitar-pop.”
