Rolling Stone “50 Best Albums of 2018”

Opening on a crystalline clean-tone electric guitar strummed at a fervent clip, we hear confident lyrical declarations of “advancing up this road” set to brisk drums and nuanced guitar leads, followed by a resolve not to fall prey to insecurities or distractions.

  • Produced By Zoe Reynolds and Kyle Pulley
  • Released: April 6th, 2018

Backed by a small army of her own multiplied vocals, Reynolds sounds victorious. Driving guitar echoes her directness, as do triplet drum rolls. On “Cut Yr Teeth,” Reynolds models the ideal method of dealing with detractors: sever ties, write a great song, have the last word

Thin Lips - Riff Hard

2016, MasteringRyan SchwabeComment
It’s got hard-hitting pop punk riffs a la Blink, dirty clubs, an obvious sense of feeling out of place where everyone else seems to belong, and of course the classic Blink-182 trope of crashing a party, fucking shit up, and making a space their own. Love.

Kite Party - Come On Wandering

Mastering, 2014Ryan SchwabeComment

Come On Wandering comes off more of an atmospheric record that rocks rather than a rock record that is atmospheric. It’s a perfect record to chill out to, but the heaviness of the band doesn’t really shine through unless you are blasting it at high volume.

Kite Party ‎– Baseball Season

Mastering, 2011Ryan SchwabeComment

Kite Party have created an original, completely enjoyable record that stays true to the album format in Baseball Season. It is jangly and fun, it is thoughtful and foreboding, it builds tension and delivers on it every single time.

Restorations - Strange Behavior

Mastering, 2010Ryan SchwabeComment

I’m calling it now: Philadelphia is the place to be for punk rockin’. Sure, we’ve had many a band from Dr. Dan Yemin, but with acts like the Menzingers, Stay Sharp and the Holy Mess delivering a golden shower of sexy hits, it’s clear that things are going well in the city of brotherly shove. Add to that list Restorations, an indie-tinged punk act that is either a spacier Lucero/Gaslight Anthem-type act or a punker Broken Social Scene. Either way, their new-ish 12-inch EP, Strange Behavior, is tops.

Snowing - I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted

Mastering, 2010Ryan SchwabeComment

An immediate aspect of the record is that it’s blatantly personal, a musical equivalent to spilling one’s guts out while intoxicated.
